Weather & Weekends

The weather in Singapore seems to be representing teenagers worldwide, which basically means the classic hot & cold: an attitude us teenagers are most infamous for.
I was in my red sweater yesterday (given to me by my best friend for my 15th birthday) & the usual (now unintentionally bleached) jeans that have really start to be loose - from wearing it too much I guess?
I abhor situations like that where one time it's cool then the next it's like welcoming the indian summer with a hint of humidity just to make things a tad more frustrating to deal with.

However, yesterday was the beginning of a joyous occasion.
Harvey Norman finally acknowledged our 5 year extended warranty so Cannon was finally able to proceed with Kenny's repairing, moving on from the "error 01" that has been invisibly laminated on that black lens tucked away in the drawers in Cannon's humble abode. The day would of course have been better if I knew that I could have just made a phone call instead of brave the Friday crowds to Harbour Front.
It was quite a disastrous journey made worse with the loneliness of a solo endeavour & of course the killer weather.
God bless us all.

So yes, basically the special occasion is none other then the welcoming back of my sister's dearly beloved DSLR, Kenny.

So I finally found out who this Aaron Tan is: yes, the trending topic all over Twitter.
I've never really been interested in all these Singaporean hype because I knew that all these would always, always be coupled with heavy usage of Singlish which I am definitely not a fan of, no offense.
Urm.... He was kind of smirking in the video so to tell you the truth I am unsure of whether or not this was meant as some sort of satire or it was in fact reality?
Nonetheless, besides the heavy usage of vulgarities (of which he apologized for - which I was actually impressed at), I don't get it why people have to go all out to provoke him for his inferior pronunciation.

Just because you have a fake accent & pointed eyebrows, it doesn't make you any better than he is now isn't it?
At least he doesn't try too hard up to the point where one would feel nauseated just by playing audience to that less than excellent display. If you ask me, I kind of feel sad for this boy because he seemed to really like his girlfriend & nothing hurts more than a broken heart right (cue: teenagers hypnotized by the idea of puppy love)?

You know what amuses me more? This Steven Lim person who insists that he is some sort of mainstream local artiste (delusional, really) mocking Aaron Tan when he, in fact, has a fair amount of......deplorable (yes deplorable!!!) scribbled all over his face. This situation is just turning into one of the saddest satires I've ever experienced in my whole millions of breaths I take, starting from my first cry.

Away from all these redundant "dramatic" events, I am feeling pretty excited for the camping trip at Changi later on with my the most irritating girl ever: Leana.
A thunderous applause (preferably a half-hearted one please) for how she got that tittle: it all started on Tuesday - the day where adventure & gastronomy coupled up to present a thrilling excitement much like a frisson very much desired by a coquette.... hmm okay that sounds almost degrading but the main point is: we had much fun, as always.
So how did she acclaim this tittle? Simple: from the countless "Haha!! You have short hair now!!"

It started from when we ate various types of sushi to chocolate sundaes to the big ass plate of Long John Silver's fried stuff to a large cup of KOI such that that particular phrase clinched the tittle of being Phrase Of The Day.
One can only eat so much so double that "so much" for there were two of us.
So one tick for our List Of Things To Do After Os/Ns.

It's hilarious really how before the major exams end you seem to have a whole different set of plans lined up to commemorate the end of the darkest periods of your lives & enjoy the new found freedom but when the day itself finally comes, all one really does is well.. nothing.
How many weeks has it been since the Os passed? I have no idea but what I know of is that I spent my days with nothingness.
A full cycle of nothingness at which my day stars at 12pm - the time when I wake up every single day.
TV & internet basically filling up the hours leading to my bedtime. I don't even have a job. I only half-heartedly tried searching for one.

If you think I'm complaining well you're wrong because underneath it all, I'm actually one of the most boring people alive & I'd rather much spend my day at home instead of wandering around Town, having my shoulders collide with other people & at the same time swapping germs with every less than romantic touch we exchange.
Doesn't it sound depressing already? So this is the part where I channel the narcissist in me to tell you that my ability to rationale is somewhat amazing.

& just for that last sentence, I deserve a slap.

I foresee that it'll be a joyous weekend ahead spent with my loved ones.
I mean, amidst all the self-inflicted isolation, there has got to be some interaction with the world outside these concrete walls of my home, right? Oh time, speed up slower than fast.
